TITLE: Please Come Down To Me
WORDS AND MUSIC BY: Gerald Crabb
AS RECORDED BY: The Crabb Family

This is how I hear this song... there's another version
posted here that I have some disagreements with, so I
submit my version below.

This song is originally recorded in the Key of E. I have
transcribed in the key of C for my own purposes. To play
along with the recording, you can use the Capo on the
fourth fret. (Note that the second verse modulates up a
half step- or one fret)

FOR THE INTRODUCTION: I submit here a simplified version of
the introduction of the song... not exactly correct, but
it is about all I can do on the guitar and it sounds close
enough to the actual for me.

  -C---F------------------C
E ------------------------0---
B -1-0-------0------------1---
G -0---2-------2-----0----0---
D -2---3-------3-------3--2---
A -----3-------3----------3---
E ------------------------X---

   C F
I know that I'm not worthy_ to call upon Your name.
        G
All my life, I've been a sinner_
                     C
and for that, I am ashamed.
        F
But, I heard that You would listen_
                      C
so I'm giving You my plea_
      (C) G
Too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                              C
could You please come down to me?

    F C
I know that there are others_ who could offer more than I_
    G C
I promise You I'll understand_ if for me, You have no time.
   F C
I think I just hit bottom_ and I'm looking up to see_
         (C) G
I'm too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                              C
could You please come down to me?

(Key Change Up One Fret using Capo)

    C F
I guess I must be reaping_ from the seeds that I have sown.
  G C
Lord, You owe me nothing_ we haven't spoken for so long.
    F C
If You could spare some mercy_ I'll pledge my life to Thee
      (C) G
Too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                               C
could You please come down to me?

    F C
I know that there are others_ who could offer more than I
    G C
I promise You I'll understand_ if for me, You have no time.
   F C
I think I just hit bottom_ and I'm looking up to see_
           (C) G
I'm too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                               C - - - C7
could You please come down to me?

   F
I think I just hit bottom_
                                C - Em/B - Am
and, LORD, I'm looking up_ to see - - -
           C G
I'm too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                              C
could You please come down to me?

       C
Too unworthy, Lord, to come to You_
                 C F C
could You please_ come down_ to me?
